  • Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

    A process or procedure used voluntarily between parties to resolve issues without the need to resort to litigation. ADR may include, but is not limited to, mediation, fact-finding, and arbitration. See also: Litigation.

    A contractual disagreement or misunderstanding between contracting parties specific to contract provisions or language. See also: Protest.
  • Dispute Panel

    A form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) that uses one or more neutral or impartial individuals who are available to the parties as a means to clarify misperceptions, fill in information gaps, or resolve differences over data or facts.
