With the latest news and advice from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and various government authorities on the COVID-19 pandemic, NIGP has been shifting our practices to ensure the health, safety and well-being of the entire NIGP community from our members, to partners, instructors and staff.
While we may be living in uncertain times, one thing that has become very certain to me during this past week is that the NIGP community is strong, agile and operating as ONE. For that I am grateful and proud.
Here are some of the changes we’ve instituted so far:
- All in-person classes through April 30th are being rescheduled to virtual settings. This process has been working remarkably well in no small part due to the dedication of our amazing group of instructors, chapter and agency partners and staff members who are working round the clock to accommodate.
- NIGP headquarters will continue to fully operate but will do so on a completely remote basis beginning 3/18 and through the foreseeable future.
- We have opened the COVID-19 Nsite community as a resource for everyone in our community to share and get updates, ask questions and get advice.
We will continue to provide updates as needed without overwhelming you. If there’s anything that concerns you, or any resources that we can provide to help you in this difficult time, please let us know.
