During the past four years, NIGP has affirmed that our certification, the NIGP-CPP is the only leadership-focused certification anchored in the research-based Public Procurement Competency Framework. We are honored to celebrate the designation that now bears the seal of the most respected global accreditation available to professional certification programs. The ANSI National Accreditation Board has attested that NIGP has fulfilled the requirements of ISO/IEC 17024:2012 general requirements for bodies operating certification of persons and has granted accreditation to the NIGP Certified Procurement Professional (NIGP-CPP) program.

NIGP is one of two professional certifications focused on procurement and contracting, public or private, that has earned this distinction—the other is the highly respected certification programs offered by our colleagues at the National Contract Management Association (NCMA).

Achievement of ANSI accreditation is a testament to the vision of the NIGP Governing Board, the arduous work of the NIGP Certification Commission, and the tireless dedication of our certification staff and support teams. It is also a momentous celebration for the 1,500+ trailblazers who achieved this new certification with the hope that, one day, their hard work and achievement would be recognized globally…and here we are!
