The County assumes no liability or obligation on behalf of these entities, and purchases and payment transactions will be made directly between the contractor and the requesting entity. The prices offered in the bid shall remain firm for one year, with the possibility of a price escalation request based on the Consumer Price Index or a maximum 5% increase. The County reserves the right to accept or reject the price increase request. Deliveries should be made promptly, and failure to meet delivery dates may result in termination of the contract. Equivalent items will be considered if accompanied by descriptive literature and specifications. Bidders may be required to provide evidence of financial responsibility and the necessary resources to fulfill the contract. The County may also inspect the facilities of the bidders before awarding the contract.
