  • YEAR CREATED: 2010
  • ENTITY TYPE: Authority: Other
  • TYPE OF DOCUMENT: RFP - Request for Proposals
This document outlines the goals and objectives of a contract between the Department and a Contractor. The contract requires the Contractor to perform specific tasks and provides a schedule for the completion of each task. The document also requires the Contractor to identify the personnel who will be assigned to each task. The Department reserves the right to apply liquidated damages if the Contractor fails to perform the required tasks within the specified schedule. One of the main tasks outlined in the contract is for the Contractor to set up and implement a training program for NYPD middle managers. The purpose of this program is to prepare these managers for senior executive positions within the department. The success of the training program will be measured by the number of individuals attending the program. Payments to the Contractor will be tied to the number of individuals attending the training program. However, there will be no penalties for those who complete more than half of the program. The satisfaction of both the participants and the NYPD will also be considered in determining the payments to the Contractor. The contract is subject to the Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise program, which means that the Contractor must comply with the requirements of this program. Additionally, compliance with Local Law 34 of 2007 is also required. In terms of the proposal format, the document specifies that it should include a cover letter, a technical proposal addressing the Contractor's experience and organizational capability, and a proposed approach for fulfilling the Department's goals and objectives.
