The memorandum also specifically states that purchasing agents and those with UPPCC certification should not accept gifts, gratuities, or other things of value from suppliers that might influence or appear to influence purchasing decisions. The document concludes by noting that the ethical principles listed have been adapted from the NIGP Code of Ethics.
