The document provides information about the process and schedule for creating and mailing a trash/recycling collection schedule for Baltimore County. The schedule will be converted to a PDF and sent to the BSWM for proofing. Any errors found will be provided to the schedule creator, who will then correct the schedule and send it back to the BSWM for a final check. Corrections to the schedules are included in the contracted price and must be completed within one week of receiving notice of the error. The trash/recycling collection schedule is designed as a self-mailer, with the finished sheet being 22" long by 17" wide. The sheet will be preprinted on both sides with general trash/recycling collection information, and open space will be left for the collection schedules and address information. The suggested paper for printing is 70lb. digital opaque with a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled content and laser-safe ink. The collection schedule and address information will be printed in black and white onto the sheet, which will then be folded to a finished size of 5.5" x 8.5" with the address information facing out. The self-mailer must meet all United States Postal requirements. The BSWM will provide a list of addresses that will be matched to a specific schedule based on the collection day pattern. The piece will be tabbed according to United States Postal regulations, and the mailing will be sorted to minimize postage costs. The postage will be deducted from Baltimore County's postal account, and all US Postal service requirements must be met for timely delivery. The postal forms from the mailing must be provided to the BSWM within three days of the mailing. The project schedule outlines the timeline for delivering the 4-year Trash/Recycling Collection guide to the residents of Baltimore County, with a start date of January 1, 2014. The schedule includes dates for contract award, providing the PDF of the guide and schedule list, pre-printing of general information, collection schedule creation, proofing and corrections, laser printing of schedules and addresses, and final preparation for mailing. The schedules will be sent to the US postal system on December 9, 2013.
