This document is a catalog specification for Danville Community College. The catalog is to be printed in a quantity of 15,000 copies and has a trim size of 7" x 10". The catalog will have 200 pages plus a cover. The specified paper stock for the cover is Coated No. 2: 60# cover Gloss, and for the inside pages is Uncoated No. 2: 60# text. Only mill brand papers listed in the Competitive Grade Finder will be considered, and bidders must provide labeled swatches of the quoted papers. The ink specifications include 4-color printing with a flood gloss varnish on the outside covers, and black ink for the inside text pages. The binding will be perfect bind on the long side. The document will be provided as a high-resolution PDF and on CD, using InDesign CS software. The printer is responsible for checking the document and applying all printer specifications for film output. All images are provided on a CD. The contractor must provide a folded and trimmed one-piece position proof of the entire book, as well as a composite high-resolution color proof of the covers. Proofs must be delivered to the Director of Public Relations at the college. The delivery of the printed catalogs is required by April 19, 2005, and the contractor is responsible for unloading. The contact person for this project is Ms. Andrea J. Burney, the Public Relations Director. All furnished material and the composited electronic file must be returned to the agency before the invoice will be processed. The printer is responsible for checking all document and support files and making necessary changes for film output. The film should be output at 2400 DPI with a minimum line screen of 150-line reproduction. Any complications with output from the disk must be notified to DCC before additional charges are incurred.
