  • YEAR CREATED: 2005
  • ENTITY TYPE: County
  • TYPE OF DOCUMENT: BID - ITB, IFB, ITT, RFB
The document is a request for proposal (RFP) from Baltimore County, Maryland, for outside printing services. The County currently has an in-house Central Printing department but requires additional printing jobs that cannot be handled internally. The County is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified firms to perform various types of printing and copying jobs, including brochures, multi-part forms, presentation folders, and color copies. The County spent approximately $470,800 on outside printing jobs in Fiscal Year 2005. The Contractor will be required to meet with the buyer to provide specifications and pricing on a job-by-job basis. The Contractor will also supply the necessary paper products and may be required to provide design, layout, and composition assistance. The County will own all artwork created for the jobs. The Contractor must use inks that do not contain toxic components. Various finishing methods may be required, and all jobs will use recycled paper products. The printed and copied material must be clearly packaged and labeled. Delivery will be made to various locations throughout the County, and delivery dates will be firm. A project manager must be assigned to the contract as a central point of contact for the County. Proposals must describe the firm's capabilities and experience, provide references and samples, and identify equipment and workload capacity. The County reserves the right to solicit separate bids and may make multiple awards. The term of the agreement is one year with the option to renew for five additional one-year terms. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for November 1, 2005 at the Room, Mezzanine Level, 400 Washington Avenue, Towson, Maryland 21204.
