This document is an agreement between a contractor and the Knox County Board of Education for the provision of child care services. The contractor is responsible for maintaining and using the facilities described in the agreement, and they are liable for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. The contractor is also required to maintain records and provide them to the Instructional Department for inspection. They must also have appropriate insurance coverage and name the Board of Education as an additional insured. The contractor is responsible for indemnifying the Board against any claims arising from their negligence or performance. The contractor is prohibited from selling rights under the agreement without Board approval. They must provide employees who meet the qualifications set by applicable laws, including the State Department of Human Services, and maintain employee files with necessary documentation. The contractor must inspect the premises at the end of each day to ensure no child remains on the premises. They must inform the Board of any accidents involving children or violations of applicable laws by employees. The contractor is not allowed to use the Board's name or logo for endorsement or advertising. They are responsible for cleaning the rooms they use and coordinating with the Board's representative for additional custodial care. The Board will provide appropriate accommodations for the child care services. The agreement can be terminated by either party for material breach by the other party or due to a change in applicable laws, including those set by the State Department of Human Services.
