ITB - Kitchen Equipment Repair/Maintenance 2004

  • YEAR CREATED: 2004
  • ENTITY TYPE: County
  • TYPE OF DOCUMENT: BID - ITB, IFB, ITT, RFB
The document outlines the requirements and guidelines for a contractor working on a project for the County. It states that all materials used in the project must be approved by the County before being incorporated into the work. If materials are used without prior approval, the contractor will be responsible for the expenses and the County will not pay for them. The contractor is not allowed to subcontract any part of the work, except for tasks outside of their contracted trade. In such cases, subcontracting is allowed but the subcontractors must adhere to the same terms and conditions as the main contractor. The County will reimburse the contractor for the costs of subcontractor labor and materials, but no additional mark-ups or charges will be allowed. The labor rates should include travel means, equipment, and tools required for the job. The contractor cannot charge the County for travel time or workers' lunch breaks. The contractor's invoice should clearly state the actual hours quoted, the cost of materials, a description of the work performed, and the location and date. The contractor must also provide copies of manufacturer's/vendor's invoices for materials and copies of daily work orders listing the hours worked by each worker. The work will be measured and paid on a time and materials basis. Small tools, with a new cost of $1,000.00 or less, are included in the labor rates. The contractor must have at least four skilled mechanics available for the entire term of the contract. These mechanics must attend a security orientation conducted by the Bureau of Corrections and may be subject to a background investigation by the Baltimore County Department of Corrections. The County reserves the right to require the removal of any individuals deemed unfit based on the investigation.
