The Contract Administrator has the authority to suspend work by the Contractor if necessary due to unsuitable work conditions, failure to follow directions, unsafe conditions, or failure to perform according to the provisions of the contract. The Contractor must request permission from the Contract Administrator to temporarily suspend work due to unsuitable, unsafe, or hazardous conditions or failure of the County to notify the Contractor of changes in locks, security codes, or access to the facility. The Contractor is responsible for protecting all furnishings, fixtures, equipment, and other physical objects in the facility being cleaned, and in the event of damage caused by the Contractor, they must pay for the damages. The Contractor must provide all necessary supplies, including trash receptacle liners, sanitary napkins, paper towels, toilet paper, toilet seat covers, hand soap, hand sanitizer, and related dispensers. The Contractor must use specific brands or approved equivalents for certain supplies. The Contractor must also supply all cleaning equipment needed for the contract and ensure that it is of the appropriate size and type and not harmful to the buildings or their contents. The Contractor must provide electrical power and be responsible for any damage caused to electrical outlets. Adequate paper supplies and hand soap must be stored in locked housekeeping closets or storage cabinets. The Contractor will have keys to these closets in the event supplies become short during the day and need replenishment.
