This document provides guidelines and requirements for submittals in a construction project. It specifies that submittals should not contain standard printed information unless project-specific portions are clearly identified. Submittals should only encompass one section of the specifications and should include data such as dimensions, weights, and performance characteristics for mechanical and electrical equipment. Variations from the contract documents should be noted and highlighted. The submittal should be in compliance with the contract documents and should include a completed approval and certification stamp. Manufacturer's documents and working drawings should accurately present graphical information, materials and equipment, compliance with standards, dimensions, arrangements, and necessary details. Each drawing or page should include relevant information such as project name, specification section number, and identification of equipment or materials. Product data should be assembled into a single submittal for each element of work or system. Samples should be provided for materials proposed for incorporation into the work, and mock-ups may be required. The document also covers requirements for requests for "Or Equal" or substitution, licensed professional submittals, inspection and test reports, mill test reports, experience records, guarantees, warranties, maintenance agreements, survey data, certifications, closeout submittals, and operation and maintenance manuals. A Submittal Transmittal Form is provided to forward each specific submittal package to the engineer. It is important to provide all the information indicated on the form and ensure that submittals are complete to avoid any issues.
