The document provides information about a project in Baltimore County involving the installation of a new sign. The project includes the provision of fiber optic cable for communication purposes, with the cable running from the PC area in a building to the sign location in a separate conduit from the electric. The PC, conduit, and networking hardware will be provided by Baltimore County, while the vendor is responsible for providing the software and four hours of technician time for hook-up, testing, and training. Before the installation of the new sign, the existing sign will be removed by Baltimore County. The vendor is also responsible for obtaining the necessary building permits for the project. There will be a pre-bid meeting and site inspection opportunity for interested bidders to visit the installation sites, take measurements, and ask questions. While attendance at the pre-bid meeting is not mandatory, bidders are expected to obtain the necessary information and take measurements and photographs if they are unable to attend. Bidders are also responsible for obtaining any necessary permits and field measurements during the site visit. The work must be performed between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, excluding County holidays. The contractor must ensure that merchandise is delivered within or adjacent to the area of installation or repair as specified by the County. The work should cause the least inconvenience to Baltimore County Government, with minimal interruption to normal operations and coordination with the user agency. The contractor is responsible for protecting all existing and newly installed work, materials, equipment, improvements, utilities structures, and vegetation. Any damage to property or incidentals must be repaired or replaced to the satisfaction of the Department of Aging or their designated representative. All work performed on Baltimore County property must comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations. The contractor is responsible for removing all debris from the site and keeping the work areas clean. They must leave the affected areas as they were prior to beginning work. Baltimore County will provide the required utilities for the project, but the contractor is responsible for installing and repairing any utilities required for the project. Planned interruptions must be coordinated with the Maintenance Supervisor's office in advance. If the work requires the use of any hazardous materials, the contractor must submit a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) with their bid. The extent of use of hazardous materials may be a factor in the contract award. All workmanship and materials must comply with the manufacturer's recommendations and relevant codes and regulations, including Baltimore County Codes and Regulations and UL-Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.
