The fabric and thread must be tested for various properties and approved by the International Fabricare Institute. The embroidery must be done using specific machines and thread, with sufficient density and underlay stitching. The overlocked merrow edge must consist of specific threads and have a certain density. A plastic film sheet must be bonded to the reverse side of the emblems, and it must meet various criteria in terms of durability and compatibility with laundering fluids. The emblems must be die cut to the approved design and show no distortion or broken stitches. Each emblem must be individually inspected against the specifications. Emblems that fail to pass this individual inspection must be retained for further evaluation or correction.
