RESPONSIBILITIES 9.1 The Contractor shall provide all coordination, functions, labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the successful completion of the Gilroy Equipment Shelter project in Baltimore County, Maryland. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring compliance with insurance requirements and providing documentation of insurance coverage. Failure to comply may result in the contract being awarded to another bidder. Additionally, the successful bidder must provide both a performance and payment bond. The Contractor is also responsible for investigating and reporting any complaints related to their materials and supplies. They must meet the Minority and Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) participation requirements and complete the necessary forms. Copies of payments to M/WBE subcontractors and suppliers must be submitted to the Minority Business Enterprise Officer. The work site is located at the Gilroy Maintenance Facility in Hunt Valley, Maryland. An on-site inspection is scheduled, and attending the inspection is necessary for submitting a bid. Delivery, installation, and interruptions must be coordinated with the County and follow specific guidelines. The Contractor must protect existing and newly installed work, materials, equipment, structures, and vegetation. All work must conform to safety regulations. Material substitutes may be allowed with prior written approval if they meet or exceed the same properties as the specified material. Any unexpected conditions or changes to the contract must be immediately reported and agreed upon by both the Contractor and the County. The Contractor is responsible for debris removal and leaving the work area clean. Utilities required for the project will be provided by the County, except for those to be installed by the Contractor. If hazardous materials are used, the Contractor must submit a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) with the bid. Contact information for warranty or service problems must be provided by the Contractor.
