The document contains supplementary general conditions for a construction project. It outlines various requirements and procedures that bidders and contractors must adhere to. Bidders may be required to submit information about the work they will perform, the materials and equipment they will use, and the subcontractors they plan to hire. The owner has the right to object to any proposed subcontractors and the bidder may need to provide acceptable substitutes. A pre-construction conference is mandatory unless waived by the owner. The contractor is responsible for supervising and directing the work, as well as coordinating all aspects of the project. They must keep the premises clean and remove waste materials and tools at the completion of the work. The contract requires first-class work and materials, and the owner may employ an independent testing laboratory to ensure compliance. The contractor is not allowed to deviate from the contract documents without written consent from the owner. In case of discrepancies or inconsistencies in the contract documents, the contractor must report them to the owner, who will promptly correct them. The contractor is responsible for any work done after the discovery of discrepancies. At the final inspection, the contractor must provide a representative to assist in the inspection, and any deficiencies must be corrected before final acceptance of the work. Payment will be made to the contractor in accordance with the contract documents, and monthly estimates will be submitted for partial payment. The owner will retain 5% of the payment as retainage, unless there is a right to withhold some or all of the payment under the provisions of the Contract Documents. The contractor will also be paid for materials used in the project.
