The City of Phoenix is seeking to fill Finance Procurement Officer vacancies within the Finance Department Central Procurement Division. This division is responsible for purchasing a large variety of general goods and services, professional services, and technology that support citywide programs and operations. The Finance Procurement Officer conducts a variety of procurement activities including preparation of specifications, conducting competitive solicitation processes for commodities and services (public postings, creation of addenda, evaluation, negotiations, award, and execution), and preparation, renewal, and monitoring of citywide commodity and service contracts. They may also have specialized responsibilities related to different areas of focus which may include responsibilities such as:
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Provides exemplary customer service. Is dedicated to continuous improvement to reduce redundancy, improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes. Has knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to procurement.
Demonstrates ability to: Correctly interpret complex laws and regulations, and agreements and to follow policies and procedures. Effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Break down complex information into comprehensive parts, ask questions, and synthesize and analyze the information. Translate business needs into written requirements.
Possesses: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency using Microsoft Office products.
