Starting salary to commence at $52,645 except in extenuating circumstances.
General Statement of Job Performs a variety of procurement, administrative and financial functions for the City.
City Expectations: Certain essential city services are required to be maintained in any civil emergency.
Depending upon the type of emergency, any and all employees may be activated as essential employees in the event of an emergency.
Duties & Responsibilities Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
1. Responds to inquiries and provides training, general information and assistance to departments in the procurement of materials and contractual services.
2. Oversees all accounts payable transactions including processing and monitoring payments and expenditures.
3. Accurately and legibly completes applicable reports, forms, and other required documentation.
4. Maintains bid, vendor and accounts payable records.
5. Conducts product/market research as required.
6. Contributes to improving the operations and efficiency of all work processes to decrease turnaround times, streamline procedures, and provide quality customer service.
7. Assists the Utility Billing Coordinator.
8. Procures goods and services utilizing requests for proposals (RFP), invitations to bid (1TB), requests for qualifications (RFQ), and verbal quotes, in compliance with current state and local regulations and City policies.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for effective, efficient and accurate procurement, financial and administrative operations.
Responsible in work to the Procurement Manager.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Education and Training High school graduate or GED and three (3) years of business-related experience to include two (2) years accounts payable experience.
One (1) year procurement experience in the bid selection process is preferred.
Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) designation is also preferred.
