The University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL is now accepting applications for the position of full-time Procurement Manager in the Office of Procurement and Contracts. Responsibilities:
The Manager of Contract Administration reports to the University's Office of Procurement and Contracts but will work with the University's Office of General Counsel in carrying out their duties.
The incumbent will act in a centralized business environment to negotiate, review, and process contracts for the acquisition of goods and services and other purposes as needed by the University, subject to legal matters to final approval of the Office of Procurement and Contracts.
Must be familiar with University policy, practice, administrative rules, and Florida law pertaining to public procurement and must be capable of operating the computer-based University-wide contracts management system.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Juris Doctor degree preferred.
Experience preferably in an institution of higher education Contract Management or Procurement Services department.
Significant knowledge of applying laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to contracting, leasing, and contract-related purchasing is desirable.
