Overview

The pandemic put a spotlight on the importance of public procurement.  Despite outdated processes, and a lack of funds and resources,  in a time of crisis, you delivered.  Looking back on lessons learned, we now have the opportunity to shape tomorrow.  While the pandemic continues to impact business, Money from the American Rescue Plan is beginning to roll out, and Billions in CARES funding is still available until December. Now is the ultimate time for every government to build resiliency and modernize the core foundational pillars of talent, process, technology and culture, in order to build efficient, agile, and diversified procurement functions. But where do you begin?

Presenter Bio(s) 

Jarrod McAdoo brings over 24 years of procurement experience across multiple industries, including defense contracting, higher education, retail, manufacturing, and engineered products.  During this time, Jarrod held various roles in category and supplier management including the management of strategic sourcing and procurement teams as well as leading teams in implementing shared service procurement models and source to pay systems.  Jarrod holds a Masters in Business Administration from Duquesne University and a Bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University.  

Dustin Lanier, a Certified Public Procurement Officer, founded Civic Initiatives in 2010 as a national public procurement consulting group.  Prior to Civic Initiatives, Dustin held a variety of leadership roles related to strategic planning and contracting for ten years in Texas state government.  Lanier served in key technology strategy and procurement roles as the director of Strategic Initiatives for the state CIO and the executive director of the state Council on Competitive Government.   Dustin graduated from Duke University with degrees in Public Policy Studies and Latin American Studies, and is a husband and father of three boys.
 

Attendance for Individuals

In order to receive one contact hour, each member needs to register for the webinar individually in advance and then watch the live webinar. Your credit is tabulated by match between your login and your registration.

Attendance for Groups

There is a Group Sign-In Form provided with each webinar. The group sign-in form does not register anyone for the webinar, it just verifies live attendance. Each person will receive their login email on the day of the webinar – this verifies their registration. The group sign in form verifies that they watched the live webinar.

Cancellation Policy

Registration and payment must be received 24 hours prior to the course start date. After this time, registrations will be based on space availability.  A full refund, less a $75 administrative fee will be given for cancellations made in writing 31+ days prior to the seminar date by emailing RegistrationInfo@nigp.org. No refunds are given for cancellations received within 24 hours of the seminar start date. There are no refunds for no-shows. If the seminar is cancelled for any reason, NIGP's liability is limited to the registration fee only.  

Attendee substitutions within the same agency may be done at any time with email notification to NIGP. If attending via scholarship, please provide documentation verifying the scholarship issuer's name and contact information in lieu of payment information.
