Overview

Disasters—whether natural, technological, or health-related—pose serious challenges to public-sector supply chains. This webinar equips procurement professionals with strategies to build resilience and ensure continuity of critical services during disruptions. Drawing on NIGP’s Values and Guiding Principles, FEMA’s Supply Chain Resilience Guide and the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) Principles and Requirements for AEM and CEM certification, we’ll focus on risk assessment, emergency protocols, proactive inventory evaluation, and cross-agency coordination. We will share lessons from recent events, including Hurricane Helene and the Los Angeles Wildfires, exploring public–private collaborations and the use of Amazon Business procurement tools to address preparedness, recovery and response. By combining public-sector best practices with private-sector agility and innovation, agencies can better anticipate disruptions, respond rapidly to evolving needs, and maintain operational continuity under pressure. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies, templates, and examples to assess their own readiness and build a resilient supply chain to withstand whatever comes next.

Attendance for Individuals

In order to receive one contact hour, each member needs to register for the webinar individually in advance and then watch the live webinar. Your credit is tabulated by match between your login and your registration.

Attendance for Groups

There is a Group Sign-In Form provided with each webinar. The group sign-in form does not register anyone for the webinar, it just verifies live attendance. Each person will receive their login email on the day of the webinar – this verifies their registration. The group sign in form verifies that they watched the live webinar.

Cancellation Policy

Registration and payment must be received 24 hours prior to the course start date. After this time, registrations will be based on space availability.  A full refund, less a $75 administrative fee will be given for cancellations made in writing 31+ days prior to the seminar date by emailing RegistrationInfo@nigp.org. No refunds are given for cancellations received within 24 hours of the seminar start date. There are no refunds for no-shows. If the seminar is cancelled for any reason, NIGP's liability is limited to the registration fee only.  

Attendee substitutions within the same agency may be done at any time with email notification to NIGP. If attending via scholarship, please provide documentation verifying the scholarship issuer's name and contact information in lieu of payment information.
