Overview
Join Disaster Recovery Services, LLC (DRS) for part 1 of a two-part webinar series as we dive deep into the ongoing procurement and contracting missteps (suspects) that lead to federal disaster grant funding ineligibility and clawbacks. During this webinar series, you’ll develop the sleuthing skills needed to help solve the mysteries presented in our NIGP Forum 2023 Session “A Federal Procurement Whodunit: Follow the Clues to Optimize Disaster Funding”.
What You'll Learn
After completing this online training session, learners will be able to:
1. Identify the elements required for justifying non-competitive (sole source) emergency/exigent procurements.
2. Devise a plan for pivoting from the use of non-competitive (sole source) emergency/exigent procurements.
3. Develop a system for properly documenting efforts to take all six affirmative steps for socioeconomic contracting.
4. Classify cost plus contract pricing as 'allowed' or 'disallowed' under the Uniform Guidance.
5. Avoid the traps of restricting full and open competition.
