Overview

This webinar will explain foundational aspects of a sustainable purchasing program, viewed through the lens of the procurement professional. Our “Procurement First” philosophy offers solutions that help an organization balance primary procurement needs while integrating sustainable considerations into the procurement process. The 90 minute session will be structured around three modules including:

2.  Commodity prioritization and specification development
3.  Embedding sustainability into the procurement process

What You'll Learn

After completing this online training session, learners will be able to:
 
1.  Recognize key enterprise wide levers of power and influence and understand the importance of embedding      sustainability in each of these functions and processes.
2.  Understand metrics that can be used to help prioritize which products and services a program should focus upon,      and best practices applicable when building specifications in prioritized commodity areas.
3.   Understand the key phases of the procurement process, and specific moments within each phase when sustainable      considerations can and should be applied.

Sessions


Cancellation Policy

Registration and payment must be received 24 hours prior to the course start date. After this time, registrations will be based on space availability.  A full refund, less a $75 administrative fee will be given for cancellations made in writing 31+ days prior to the seminar date by emailing RegistrationInfo@nigp.org. No refunds are given for cancellations received within 24 hours of the seminar start date. There are no refunds for no-shows. If the seminar is cancelled for any reason, NIGP's liability is limited to the registration fee only.  

Attendee substitutions within the same agency may be done at any time with email notification to NIGP. If attending via scholarship, please provide documentation verifying the scholarship issuer's name and contact information in lieu of payment information.
