Mike Bevis

Michael Bevis is an internationally recognized thought leader in the public procurement profession. He is a Fellow of NIGP and has presented classes and conducted symposia on five continents and eleven countries. He has over 30 years of legal and procurement professional experience and is currently Chief Procurement Officer for the City of Norfolk, Virginia.

Michael is passionate in his support of fellow professionals. He is currently Chair of the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management’s Global Standard Board and the Job Order Contracting Certification Council, as well as a member of both NIGP CARE and the NIGP-CPP Certification Council. He is past Chair of both the NIGP Governing Board and The Center for Job Order Contracting Excellence.  

He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law School and Lincoln Memorial University.
