The document is a solicitation for a contract to provide ground spray of herbicide on 350 acres of rangeland in the Wallsburg Wildlife Management area in Wasatch County, Utah. The contractor is required to provide all labor, equipment, and materials for the project. The target weeds to be controlled are squarrose knapweed and dalmatian toadflax. The majority of the spraying will need to be done by hand with backpack and/or mule sprayers due to the terrain and lack of roads. Established roads and trails can be used for spray trucks and ATV sprayers. The contractor will need to provide all herbicides, including a mixture of Tordon, 2-4D, a surfactant, Patriot, and other necessary additives. Water is available at the Deer Creek State Park, located 2 miles west of the project area. The spraying must begin no later than July 8, 2009, and the entire project must be completed by August 5, 2009. The contractor will be required to map the target weeds while spraying and provide a shape file of weed infestations. A report of all herbicide used on the project must also be provided upon completion. The document also includes information on solicitation amendments, protected information, samples, award of contract, division approval, debarment, energy conservation and recycled products, governing laws and regulations, and sales tax ID number requirements.
