Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is seeking an experienced procurement leader to oversee a multi-section department managing professional/general services, competitive bidding, and strategic contract support for one of the nation’s largest school systems. In this pivotal role, you will: Lead the District’s procurement strategy, master contracts, and vendor services Manage and mentor teams across contract negotiation, processing, and compliance Provide strategic insights to support grants and large-scale sourcing Represent the District in Board reporting, hearings, and contract settlements This is your chance to make a city-wide impact through public service while supporting our students, schools, and communities.

📚 Education: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or public administration or a related field. Courses in accounting, finance, personnel management, and business law are preferable. An advanced degree in Business or Public Administration is preferable.
🧰 Experience: Four years of management experience in contracting processes and the procurement of goods and services. Two of those years must include managing procurement personnel in an organization with at least 500 employees or in a school district with at least 10,000 students. Government contracting experience is preferred.
🚗 Special Requirements: Valid CA driver’s license and ability to travel One of the following certifications is preferable: Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) by the NCMA
