This session provides a brief overview of NIGP’s Pathways program which integrates career-long learning with credentialing options – including the NIGP Certified Procurement Professional designation (NIGP-CPP) credential. The session will explain the NIGP-CPP program objectives and the key differences which set the NIGP-CPP apart from other certification programs. The session will also provide detailed information on eligibility requirements, how to apply and schedule exams, the exam content and format, and recertification requirements.
Rick Grimm has served as NIGP’s Chief Executive Officer for 27 years. He served county governments and public school districts for 23 years, including over 12 years in the leadership of the public procurement function, before joining the NIGP team in 1998.
As NIGP continues to develop, support, and promote public procurement, Rick’s three priorities are:
The competency-based Pathways program that guides professionals on their career aspirations through learning and credentialing options;
The NIGP Certified Procurement Professional designation with over 1,600 certificants to date and one of only two programs to be accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board.
NIGP’s Center for the Advancement of Research and Excellence (CARE) which represents a diversity of senior practitioners, academicians, business leaders, and association leaders who come together as an incubator think tank to discuss public procurement trends. The Center also commissions research that will intentionally impact content, standards, and best practices for the profession.

There is a Group Sign-In Form provided with each webinar. The group sign-in form does not register anyone for the webinar, it just verifies live attendance. Each person will receive their login email on the day of the webinar – this verifies their registration. The group sign in form verifies that they watched the live webinar.
All cancellations must be made in writing by emailing registrationinfo@nigp.org. Once the login email is sent, registrants that are non-members are not eligible for a refund. Registered participants who do not attend will not receive credit. Need to miss the webinar due to a last minute meeting? There is no need to cancel. You won't receive credit, but you will still receive all the handouts and the recording link.
