Overview

With compressing budgets, increasing demands, and limited staff, you are under intense pressure to discover efficiencies and put them into practice. How do you cut costs without sacrificing quality? How do you validate you are getting competitive pricing?

In this session you will learn about a successful private sector process that is now used in the public sector. You will gain an understanding of what works well in the Reverse Auction (RA) process, what doesn’t, and how RAs differ from paper bids. We will discuss options for the format, managing your relationships, and FAQs of procurement professionals and suppliers.  Finally, you will have the opportunity to view a Reverse Auction demo and see how this process will benefit your entity by finding market value for your purchases.

What You'll Learn

After completing this online training session, learners will be able to:

1. Explain how reverse auctions are different from traditional bids and how they can fit into your entities processes.
2. Which goods and services work best for reverse auctions and which ones don't
3. Discuss entity and supplier benefits to be gleaned from RAs
4. Describe how a reverse auction is conducted
