We as procurement professionals have spent years crafting our skills to get the right price. It’s one of the first things we learn in government procurement…. award goes to the responsive, responsible supplier with the lowest price. So, what’s out there, is there anything more we can do? One of the current “buzz” phrases in business is value beyond price/cost, but what exactly is that? What does this mean for procurement? Where do we find this “value”? This session will explore sourcing options to assist you in getting real, true value that has a positive impact and demonstrates the strategic value that your procurement organization contributes to the entity.

Presenter Bio(s)
Theresa Webb, M.A., NIGP-CPM, CPPO, CPPB, C.P.M. has over 40 years of experience in procurement in both the private and public sectors; 18 years in public sector procurement. In her leadership roles, Theresa oversaw the procurement of goods, services, technology, construction, capital improvement and PCard Administration. She has Bachelors' and a Masters’ degrees in Business. Theresa has served on multiple boards, committees, panels, task forces and councils for NIGP, FAPPO, APG, and other professional organizations over the years. She has also presented webinars, workshops, and training sessions at the local, state, and national levels during that time. Since retiring from government procurement, Theresa has continued serving the profession as an NIGP Certified Instructor, on NIGP coursework curriculum creation teams, as chair and member of the NIGP Accreditation Committee and in her role as Senior Procurement Process Consultant for Civic Initiatives LLC. Her most recent contribution to public procurement is co-authoring the NIGP textbook “Strategic Sourcing in the Public Sector” which is scheduled to be published in 2023. Theresa was recognized by NIGP in 2013 as National Buyer of the Year.

each member needs to register for the webinar individually in advance and then
watch the live webinar. Your credit is tabulated by match between your login
and your registration.
Attendance for Groups
There is a Group Sign-In Form provided
with each webinar. The group sign-in form does not register anyone for the
webinar, it just verifies live attendance. Each person will receive their login
email on the day of the webinar – this verifies their registration.
The group sign in form verifies that they watched the live webinar.
