The article discusses the competence requirements for managing supply in interorganizational networks, specifically in the health sector. The authors present a competence framework based on empirical data, which includes six themes: network understanding, developing network position, relationship management, learning, knowledge and knowledge management, strategy formulation, and strategy implementation. The relevance of the framework to boundary spanning personnel and other organizations is also considered. The article highlights the importance of strategic supply management and the need for personnel to think and behave more strategically, learn effectively, and consider supply networks rather than just their own organization. The research aims to provide a detailed understanding of effective team performance in strategic supply management and to develop a management tool for personnel development. Additionally, the article contributes to applied research and enriches our understanding of networking activities in the field.
