This document is a contract between St. Louis County and a contractor for the hauling and disposal of debris. The contractor will be paid based on unit pricing submitted in the bidding schedule. The debris is classified into two categories: grindable and non-grindable. The county has the right to retain a percentage of payment if satisfactory progress is not achieved. The county may also withhold payment or final payment for various reasons, including unsatisfactory job performance or failure to comply with the contract. Changes, additions, or deductions to the work can only be authorized by the St. Louis County Director of Procurement in writing. The contract can be terminated at any time for the convenience of the county, with payment for work completed up to the termination date. The contractor must comply with all laws and regulations and not discriminate against employees or applicants. The county has the authority to stop work if there is a safety hazard or noncompliance with laws or regulations. The contractor must designate a contract representative to receive notices, and the only authorized personnel to receive notices from the contractor is the county's Director of Procurement. The county reserves the right to issue other contracts or direct other contractors to work in the same area.
