The award of the contract may be made in whole or in part, and past performance of bidders will be considered. Orders will be placed by telephone, and release orders issued within the contract term will still be bound by the terms and conditions. The County reserves the right to extend the contract to other public bodies and entities. The same prices, terms, and conditions should be extended to Baltimore County Volunteer Fire Departments. Price sheets may fluctuate, and the vendor should provide any changes to the Purchasing Bureau. Prices offered should remain firm for 365 days, but a request for escalation may be entertained based on the Consumer Price Index or up to a maximum 5% increase. Deliveries within 25 miles of the Equipment Maintenance Shop in Glen Arm, MD will be picked up by the County, while vendors beyond that limit should provide delivery. Bidders may be required to provide evidence of financial responsibility and resources, as well as references. The County reserves the right to inspect the facilities of bidders before awarding the contract.
