This document is a Request for Bid from the City of Huntsville's Purchasing Department. The bid is for a Sewer Flow Meter, specifically an Ultrasonic meter with an accuracy of +/- 1% of actual flow. The meter should be able to measure pipe diameters ranging from 1" to 120" and can be either an external strap-on or wetted sensor made from Anod. Alum/Ultem/PVC. The meter should have a Brass Hotshot valve body, a rangeability of 40 to 0.1 ft/sec, and a turndown of 400:1. It should also have a 4-20 mA output, an SPDT relay, an RS232 Serial Port, and an internal datalogger with a 256K Byte logger with up to 8 channels. The data from the meter should be retrievable either on-site or remotely. The meter should have a temperature rating of -30° to 150° and should be Nema 4, 4X, general purpose. The specified model is Vantage 4000, but equivalent models are also acceptable. The bid should include the price for one unit of the meter, as well as any delivery/freight charges. The City of Huntsville is tax exempt. The bid should be submitted on the provided form and the response should be received by 10:00 a.m. on 11/12/08. The payment for the invoice should be made in full within 30 days after satisfactory delivery and billing, unless otherwise specified or mutually agreed upon in writing before the order is placed. The delivery time may be a factor in awarding the bid. The document also includes contact information for the Purchasing Agent, Lisa Allbright, and the Vendor is required to provide their contact information and authorized signature.
