The City of Bellingham is requesting bids for the purchase and delivery of liquid chlorine to be used at their wastewater treatment and water treatment facilities. The contract is for one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The successful vendor must follow industry safety standards and protect the treatment plants' staff during delivery. The chlorine must meet the standards set by the American Water Works Association and the City of Bellingham. The City reserves the right to terminate the contract if the material adversely affects water quality. They also have the right to perform sample testing for compliance. Deliveries will be made in quantities of seven one-ton containers to the wastewater treatment plant and eight one-ton containers to the water filtration plant. The delivery vehicle must have a maximum clearance of 11ft 7 inches. The bid price must include all costs related to the product. The estimated annual usage is 100 tons. The company must provide their bid within 60 calendar days and agree to furnish the services at the specified price. The company's information and authorized signature must be provided.
