Description
The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of the full procurement process for the organization and performs tasks necessary to procure supplies, equipment, and services, in accordance with established procurement policy, HUD, Texas State, local, and Federal regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs), informal and formal solicitations, including assisting in the drafting of scopes of work and services, preparing required notices and publications, and preparation and execution of contract awards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a job-related field of study. Three (3) years of professional work-related experience in purchasing, contract administration, and negotiation.
Required Certifications: Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Professional Public Officer (CPPO) or equivalent certifications, or the ability to obtain the CPPB/CPPO within three (3) years of hire.
