Overview

IT procurement is typically complex, involves significant risk, and requires a significantly longer timeline than traditional procurements. However, at its core, IT procurement is just that: a procurement - and generally follows the procurement cycle. Join the task force that developed the global best Public Procurement Practice on IT Procurement (No. 1) as they break down a potentially overwhelming topic into four commodity types and discuss specific questions procurement professionals should ask the supplier upfront to set the stage for a successful procurement. This webinar will go over the recently published “Public Procurement Practice: Information Technology (IT) Procurement Series - No.1” and is the first in a series of practices on IT Procurement. This webinar is targeted to procurement professionals at all levels of experience with the procurement of IT.

What You'll Learn

1.  Explain the process for developing NIGP global best practices
2.  List the four IT commodity types
