Overview
Learn why the City of Norfolk and the National League of Cities is looking to the Startup in Residence (STIR) Program to modernize government, advance economic development, and foster a "can-do" culture through innovative procurement. STIR enables cities to streamline procurement by reducing the time it takes to respond to an RFP dramatically. By lowering the barriers to participate in procurement, cities are making procurement more inclusive and attracting innovators from around the world to help them address their challenges. STIR connects governments with startups to solve civic challenges through a 16 week collaboration period that is part of the procurement process. This session will provide an overview of the program and recent success stories. What You'll Learn
