DescriptionManages the County's contractual agreements for goods and services from contract inception to contract closeout. The primary responsibilities of this position include contract administration, contract management, contract negotiations facilitation, and vendor performance monitoring. This position will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining a central contract repository system for all agreements (formal and informal) to include maintenance and services agreements as part of ongoing efforts to improving efficiency and risk mitigation in the procurement process.
Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Procurement, Public Administration or related field and four years of experience performing contract administration, proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and procurement; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must obtain a minimum of one of the following within two years of hire: Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) Certification, Certified Public Purchasing Buyer (CPPB) Certification, National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Certification, or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) Certification.
