Join our Procurement Services Office This leadership position is responsible for managing our procurement staff and overseeing the day-to-day tasks to include the purchasing cycle, coordination of all work assignments, contract negotiation, and review of all work products. As the Procurement Manager, you are responsible for hiring, recognition, discipline, discharge, or other appropriate actions. You will be responsible for ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and work is equitably distributed while supporting and promoting management direction. The District supports employees who prefer a remote work schedule so that they can enjoy their time outside of the District through work-life balance. This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will be required to come on-site for periodic meetings or work a portion of their time from a designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
RequirementsRequired Credentials for Procurement Supervisor Opportunity Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business Administration or related field and five (5) years' procurement or purchasing related work experience OR Associate's degree and seven (7) years' procurement or purchasing related work experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent and nine (9) years' procurement or purchasing related work experience. Valid Driver's License Preferred Credentials for Procurement Supervisor Opportunity Two (2) years of Supervisory experience Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO), or relative procurement certification Experience in a public-sector environment, including work with state or local government Must reside within a 40 miles from the District's Brooksville office.
