Department: Finance Pay Range: Dependent on knowledge and experience ***This executive position is exempt from Veteran's Preference according to FL Statute 110.205 (2) (j)*** Job Application Link: This is an executive level position overseeing the Purchasing division within the Financial Services Department. This position is responsible for policies and processes regarding all procurement functions within the City. This position supervises all formal procurements including sealed bids, requests for proposals, request for qualifications and all other formal and informal methods of procurement. Within this job requirement, this position is also held responsible for maintaining the integrity of the procurement process from start to finish ensuring and ensuring fairness, transparency, and openness for all solicitations. In addition, this position also manages the City's purchasing card program and the City's Minority/Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) program. General direction is received from the Finance Director. Work is evaluated based on observed competence and results attained.


• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline, and • Five (5) years of pertinent experience, three (3) of which must have been in an administrative capacity. Or • Combination of education, training and/or work experience equal to or higher than the requirements listed above as determined by Human Resources. • Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) or similar designation preferred.
