The City of Boise currently has an opening in the Department of Finance and Administration. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Purchasing team. We are looking to fill this position with either a Purchasing Buyer or a Purchasing Specialist, depending on experience. If you are a detail-oriented personality, would enjoy interacting with all departments of the city and its vendors, and have strong budget/fiscal skills; we want to hear from you!
This position: Performs entry-level procurement functions and facilitates the purchasing process for departments to ensure compliance with City, State and Federal laws, codes and regulations Works under generally close supervision and within established guidelines and procedures May be eligible for a hybrid schedule

Requirements
Purchasing Buyer: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of experience working in purchasing environment with suppliers or vendors with familiarity of the competitive bid process
Purchasing Specialist: Same required experience and training as a Purchasing Buyer 3 years of direct government purchasing experience
