Description
Under the direction of the Purchasing Agent, supervises personnel by reviewing and assigning projects and coordinating daily schedules. Assists Purchasing Agent in developing policies and procedures, training, and assisting in communications between the Purchasing Department and Commissionersâ Court. Prepares, reviews, and evaluates complex Invitation for Bids (IFB), Request for Proposals (RFP), and Request for Quotation (RFQ), and performs contract negotiation and maintenance to ensure contracts are written in the best interest of the County. Reviews and processes purchasing requests. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelorâs degree required. High school diploma or equivalency required. Valid Texas Driverâs License. Six years of experience in a related field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) and/or Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) preferred.Application Process
