DescriptionThis position is responsible for the implementation of rules, regulations, and policies with a high degree of professionalism working independently taking a proactive approach from the initial customer request throughout the procurement process. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Interacts professionally while maintaining effective working relationships as a leader to facilitate procurement activities and perform complex negotiations. Maintain effective working relationships for Consultant's Competitive Negotiation Act procurements, implementation of grant funded solicitations and other programs or projects as assigned. Guides and assist others and has the ability to train, lead, and facilitates groups and individuals. Lead teams in the county wide strategic sourcing initiatives and is responsible for solicitation development, process management, negotiation, and award of contracts. May be assigned staff supervisory responsibility. This position reports to a senior management official, supervisor or designee.
RequirementsRequires any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, Customer Service, Project Management and/or related field and one year of work experience in procurement processes, contracts writing and/or specifications and/or a closely related field. Must be able to demonstrate a strong command of the English language to include grammar, punctuation, and proofreading. Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
