Description
Under basic supervision, purchases high-value commodities and complex equipment and services in compliance with Federal, State and City rules and regulations; procures the most cost-effective supplies and materials from qualified vendors.Requirements
• Creates and processes complex and high-value solicitations, including construction projects; meets with departments to determine needs; conducts research on purchase requests, and verifies cost and specification requirements; determines best procurement process to meet user needs.
• Prepares bid documents and specifications; processes requisitions, purchase orders, change orders, bids, addenda, amendments and contracts; analyzes bid documents submitted by departments to assure supplies and services purchased are in best interest of the City; creates supporting documentation for approval procedures.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Business, Public Administration; or related field AND four years government procurement experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
