Prosper Portland seeks an innovative and experienced Procurement and Business Operations Manager to join the talented team at Prosper Portland, the City’s Economic Development Agency. The successful candidate will be an excellent people manager with a high EQ and dedicated to the anti-racist mission of the agency. This position oversees and manages a diverse array of internal functions for the agency that are vital in supporting an innovative, effective agency and the growth of an equitable economy for the City of Portland. This position leads the Business Operations Team which is responsible for (1) procurement and contracting; (2) information technology; (3) risk management; (4) records management; and, (5) facilities, reception, and surplus property. Minimum Education, Training and/or Experience Six years of progressive experience in public procurement. Management experience or experience with other business operations functions, while not required, is considered helpful and valuable experience. An Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in procurement, business administration, public administration, or related field will substitute for one year of experience.
