DescriptionPerforms buying work of moderate difficulty in the procurement of supplies, equipment, and service in compliance with County, State, and Federal regulations using various sourcing methods such as invitation for bids, request for proposals, statement of qualifications and request for quotations.
Associate's degree in Finance, Purchasing, Business Administration, or closely related field, bachelor's degree preferred, and/or an equivalent experience in procurement. Experience in public procurement and Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) is preferred. Must have a high standard of ethics. Must have excellent attention to detail. Writing proficiency is required. High level of computer skills and valid SC Driver's License is required. Must be able to work well both independently (50%) and with people (50%).
