The Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) is comprehensively responsible for leading and managing the Contracts and Purchasing Services department. Key business operations include procurement services, strategic sourcing, procurement card program, business contracts, construction-related contract services, leases, and real estate. The CPO must establish and maintain strong relationships across the College to communicate the department’s overall policies, guiding principles, strategies, and practices to ensure alignment with the needs and mission of the College in order to provide value, increased efficiency and reduce costs. The CPO will play a critical role developing and implementing long-term supply chain strategies that focus on strategic sourcing, effective contracting, data analysis, and providing high quality service delivery. The CPO will represent the department on the Strategic Leadership Communication Council and will lead and/or participate in significant projects in collaboration with peers to drive procurement/contracting best practices and generate benefits across the College.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree - BA or BS (preferably in business or related field) Ten years of experience in education or public sector procurement and contracting Five years of progressively responsible supervisory experience overseeing procurement operations and contract review

Professional purchasing certification: CPPO, CPPB, CPM, CPSM or CTCD (formerly CTPM)
