Requirements
The Senior Training & Outreach Coordinator will be expected to create new curriculum to facilitate strategic training based on Procurement and Payment Services (PPS) organizational goals and the tasks and functions of PPS. The individual will also assist in the development and implementation of content strategy for PPS communication channels and creating and maintaining content calendar and records to ensure sustainable communications across the PPS team. The position will coordinate with subject matter experts, develop, and conduct training on all aspects of PPS.
Responsibilities
Campus Engagement - Create an environment of early engagement and collaboration between PPS and campus community in support of understanding and creating value for a unified client experience in interacting with PPS towards meeting the growing needs of all colleges, schools and units.
Change Management - Lead the identification, development and delivery of information and training content required across PPS to support the understanding and needs of campus in their working with PPS.
Communications - Support the development and delivery of multi-modal content for colleges, schools, units, and the supplier community in navigating and understanding all PPS practices, policies and procedures.
Analytics - Create and analyze performance data regarding PPS support of campus, track and report defined metrics. Draft executive briefs and other communication content and reports as requested.
Professional Knowledge and Development - Maintain expertise and create goals for professional development. Keep abreast of issues and changes in related field by attending professional meetings, participating in related organizations. Remain current with market trends through relationships with suppliers and market experts. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as any internal policies or procedures to ensure behavior exhibited represents the highest level of integrity, honesty, and transparency. Actively participate in and provide expertise in Procurement and Payment Services assigned committees and meetings. Performs other duties as assigned. . Experience regarding the effective motivation and management of direct reports. Experience in change management and related communications to ensure effective operations. Experience in the development of training content and tools. Experience in management of central procurement card program. Experience planning, developing, and monitoring project and operational budgets. Experience with data analysis and information management. Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative and fast paced environment. Ability to listen and communicate; exercise good judgment to form decisions and carry out assigned duties. Attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and ability to collaborate, coordinate, and communicate, effectively with internal clients, stakeholders, and internal business partner organizations. High proficiency with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite. High proficiency in oral and written communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Ability to perform in complex environments with multiple stakeholders. Acts with service mindset, always establishing and maintaining trust and respect. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree relevant to the field of work performed. A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in developing training content within operations environment. Minimum of one (1) professional purchasing certification must be attained within twelve-month period of appointment to the position. Once, attained, certification must be maintained active.
Certification in the following areas shall be acceptable: Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD) Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience in program compliance and project management Proficiency with Learning Management Systems, including Cornerstone. Extensive experience analyzing customer needs and creating solutions. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience creating and delivering training for the following areas: 1) Procurement, 2) Contracts, 3) HUB, 4) E-Procurement, 5) Pro-Card, and 6) Accounts Payable. Experience providing procurement related training to a Texas State agency and/or an institution of higher education. Experience using B2G, Bonfire, Jaggaer Procurement Suite, Excel, and Point Plus.
