This position is a Financial Disclosure Filer under Maryland State Ethics Commission. The University is seeking multiple qualified candidates for Senior Buyers in the following areas. Commodities & Services (General Goods & Services, Research & Scientific equipment and supplies, Contract Services) IT Procurement Construction & Facilities Senior Buyers apply their knowledge and experience to perform all aspects of procurement activities for procurements in assigned categories. Using independent judgment, discretion, creativity and analytical skills, you will handle a variety of procurement activities ranging from standard sourcing activities to complex competitive solicitations to recommending solutions for unique situations with complex specifications and limited market sources while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. You will advise customers and complete actions within signature authority; for procurements above your signature authority, you will prepare required documentation to support recommended supplier selection for department leaders.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university Three (3) years of progressively responsible, related experience in procurement or allied, technical field, administrative functions, or the legal professionApplication Process
